FISHING REPORT PORT PHILLIP BAY CURRENT - March 9th 2010
Whiting and pinkies and salmon were the main target species over the long weekend. Plenty of fishing were taken. Whiting fishing has been pretty good fishing off Hampton Breach and down towards black rock, at dawn. Each boat getting plenty of fish .. Bait fresh mussels and squid strips.
Pinkies are also prolific,, with hundreds taken over the weekend,,, but many under size fish amongst them.. ( Throwback of course)
Fish being taken over heavy ground,, Sandringham, Brighton reefs and preety much every where. Rough days are better for the bigger fish over 30cm.
Great schools of Australian Salmon have been caught over the T20 mark off west of the shipping channel. Again over 100 fish taken the weekend.. Oner boat load of customer took home over 60 fish. ( Team Toyota assembly plant crew)
This week we will continue to target whiting, salmon and pinkies. Weather looks good for 13/14th March.
